Multiple projects are underway accross the city of Chicago including a restaurant in North Lawndale, a single family home in West Pullman, and a Two-flat in Lawndale.

With the end of five years teaching at UWM, Matthew has decided to make this the last semester he will be teaching in Milwaukee (at least for now). For the last five years he has commuted from Chicago to Milwaukee three times a week every week of the school year. That is a lot of milage on the train and in the car. It was a very good run and UWM will be missed. There are few schools with such earnest hard working students.

Matthew takes on coordinating a 100+ student undergrade core studio at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Architecture. Students will look design Wedding Pavilions and Cemetaries. Two designed spaces that almost everyone in the world will experience at least once in their life. How to design with empathy is the brief.

Another semester in the books at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Matthew’s studio, “Urban Form” explored masterplanning a the Cabrini Green neighborhood of Chicago.
